Take a 20-minute drive up to Ft. Pierce Beach to experience horseback riding on the beach (you may need to call ahead to reserve your ride). Head a few minutes further to the Inlet and walk out onto the famous Jetty, where looking out at the crystal blue water you’ll feel like you’re in the Caribbean. You might even see a manatee pop it’s head up to say “hi”. Grab a bite to eat at any of the popular restaurants there and stay to listen to a great local band while watching the boats go by.
